We met several interesting legal service providers. We reached out to one of the attorneys after the Summit, and retained him as our counsel. It has already led to repeat work. We might also hire one of the other law firms.

Had you heard of these firms before the Summit? Would you have discovered them yourself?

No. It’s unlikely that I would have discovered them on my own or it would have taken a much longer time. I am based on the West Coast while they are on the East Coast, targeting local companies. Their advertising would not have reached us.

How would you compare working with a boutique firm versus a large firm?

Based on the company’s current status, we are considering working with smaller law firms who are also capable in related areas, with a better rate and quicker turnaround.

Was the one-on-one meeting format an efficient way to meet different law firms?

Yes. Nobody wants to hire a random law firm or attorney. You need to sit down face-to-face and get to know each other. The 30-minute meeting format at the Summit worked well.

Did you find the speaker presentations valuable?

Yes, they were very interesting. The speakers were all very qualified people.

What was the most valuable part of your experience?

I had the opportunity to hear different opinions from attorneys from different areas. Secondly, it was a great opportunity to build connections. Thirdly, great opportunity to see smaller service providers so I can have more options to choose from. Now I know not just about local firms but also some providers on the East coast as well.
