The Marcus Evans Advisory Board recognized Reinhausen as a forward-looking, innovation led company with a long legacy of providing solutions for utilities.
Nearly every US utility already relies on Reinhausen tap-changers, and we’re not resting on that. We’re bringing our customers the next answers to the challenges they face today, from data center demand and electrification to renewables and aging assets.
Our 100-year legacy isn’t a history lesson. Innovation is in our DNA. Dr. Jansen’s 1926 tap-changer patent was a breakthrough, and five generations of family ownership have kept that spirit alive. That’s why Reinhausen Manufacturing became Reinhausen Inc.: our name now makes room for what comes next.
We treat our customers as partners. Our engineers and service experts work alongside them, turning more than a century of knowledge into solutions for today’s grid needs and tomorrow’s, from ECOTAP® VPD® and SPD® to ETOS® and TESSA® APM.
Utilities, transformer manufacturers, industrial operators and data centers. We help them get more from the grid they already have, keep aging fleets running longer, and spot problems before they become outages. Our goal is simple: solve their power problems before they become their customers’ problems.

Robert Vary, President & CEO of Reinhausen Inc., returned to the Marcus Evans Transmission & Distribution Summit after positive experiences and recommendations from colleagues. The program provided an opportunity to further deepen industry connections and engage directly with utility leaders across the transmission and distribution sector.
Several delegates described their meetings with Reinhausen as valuable and informative, providing an opportunity to learn more about the company’s capabilities, product innovations, and expanding service offerings. Several attendees were already familiar with Reinhausen yet appreciated the chance to explore potential future applications of its technology. Delegates highlighted the company’s expertise in transformer and on-load tap changer solutions, with several sharing information internally and identifying opportunities for continued collaboration and engagement.
Connecting with the right utility decision-makers
As a leading provider of transformer and voltage regulation solutions, Reinhausen wanted to strengthen relationships with utility leaders and key decision-makers across the transmission and distribution sector. The challenge was finding an efficient way to engage the right stakeholders, build strategic connections, and support long-term business growth.
A targeted platform for high-value industry connections
The Transmission & Distribution Summit provided Reinhausen with direct access to mid-level and senior utility leaders through pre-arranged one-on-one meetings and networking opportunities. Combined with attendee insights and strong account management support, the Summit enabled the company to focus its efforts on relevant organizations and meaningful business conversations.
What the approach enabled:
> Direct access to utility decision-makers and end-user organizations
> Strategic relationship-building opportunities
> Better meeting preparation through attendee insights
> Meaningful discussions aligned with business objectives
> Ongoing support from the Marcus Evans team
Strengthening industry relationships
For Robert, the greatest value of the Summit has been the opportunity to build connections with utility leaders the company would not typically engage at this level. While not every meeting results in an immediate opportunity, the quality of the conversations and relationships developed has helped expand Reinhausen’s industry network, increase visibility with key stakeholders, and support its broader business development strategy.
> Valuable access to mid-level and senior utility leaders
> Expanded relationships across the transmission and distribution sector
> Increased visibility with key end-user organizations
> More productive conversations through targeted meeting preparation
> Stronger industry network supporting long-term business objectives
> Continued participation driven by the quality of connections and engagement
Access, preparation, and meaningful dialogue
For Reinhausen, the Summit experience stands out because it combines targeted access with a structured approach to meeting preparation. The pre-event interviews provide valuable context on attendee priorities and objectives, helping sponsors maximize the relevance of their conversations. Combined with support from the account management team, this creates a more focused and productive experience than many traditional industry events.
> Pre-arranged one-on-one meetings with utility leaders
> Insight into attendee objectives through pre-event interviews
> Strong account management support and follow-up
> Access to influential decision-makers across the industry
> Opportunities to build long-term business relationships
> A focused environment for strategic conversations
creates a platform that Reinhausen continues to find valuable.

How did you first hear about Marcus Evans? What background checks did you do on our organization and credibility?
We had participated in a Marcus Evans T&D Summit a number of years ago and I had received feedback from colleagues that this was a valuable program. We actively reached out to Marcus Evans to see how we could get involved again. Our due diligence was personal experience by other colleagues. Our original engagement with Marcus Evans under my leadership was about three years ago.
Did you have any concerns prior to the event? What was your actual experience?
Our main concerns were if we would get value out of the program vs. the costs as the T&D Summit is not an inexpensive event for us. The number of connections we have made with mid-level to senior leaders of end-user organizations has been valuable. Our company had not focused on this level in the past but I recognized the value, from my past, of having end-to-end connections in the T&D space to pursue an overall business agenda.
How would you describe the account management service you’ve had since working with the team?
We have a good relationship with our account manager, and he has supported us in our involvement with the T&D Summits. There is good pre-planning and post-event follow-up. He also helps us get the meetings we are targeting as much as possible.
How did you find the qualification and matching process for the meetings you had?
Over half of our meetings are of the quality we aim for. Some are exactly the right level to make an impact on our business while a few have little to no relevance for us. We have found the pre-event interviews to be a valuable component of the matchmaking process, as they provide important insight into attendees’ priorities and objectives. Marcus Evans is usually able to get these details from 70-80 percent of participants, so in a few meetings we feel that we are shooting in the dark.
Did Marcus Evans deliver everything that was promised?
I would say Marcus Evans has delivered on most of what was promised. We’d like to see an even wider variety of attendees and more involvement with mid-size to larger utilities.
