What we gained from the Marcus Evans CMO Asia Summit
“We started working with an agency we were introduced to at the CMO Asia Summit. We have given them two jobs so far, and we are happy with their service,” said Sophia Wong Yin Ping, Sales and Marketing Manager, Sports Toto Malaysia, a delegate at the Marcus Evans CMO Asia Summit.
What new opportunities did the Summit bring to your organisation?
We liked the opportunity to explore different creative agencies, to get new marketing ideas and business strategies. That is why we attended the Summit.

What was the outcome of your meetings?
We have never explored options from other geographical areas before, so the Summit was a great opportunity to connect with agencies outside our radar. We have worked with one agency so far. They provide creative and innovative ideas, which have inspired us into more interesting marketing concepts.
If they had called or emailed you before the Summit, would you have still given them a chance?
If they had just sent an email without calling, I would have probably just ignored it.
Is it usually difficult for a service provider to get your time or attention?
It depends. It is better to meet with me face-to-face, so they can explain what they do in detail instead of just sending an email.
What did you think of the one-to-one meeting format?
It was good because we had enough time to discuss their services and approach, to determine if we were interested.
Did you find the speaker presentations valuable?
Yes. Most of them were very relevant to us and informative. It was good to know what others in the industry were doing. The presenters were quite knowledgeable in their relevant areas, and I went away with some very good ideas.
